We don't have much planned, but we do know that the wedding will be the end of the summer of 2010. I will be done with my masters degree in December of 2009, and I wanted to make sure that I could enjoy the rest of the planning and the honeymoon period! I didn't want to get back from a honeymoon and jump right back into school. So our engagement will be long, but it will be worth the wait! We are hoping that with so much time we will be able to find the best deals everywhere!!
Right now, our biggest issue is the guest list!! We haven't even gotten finalized lists from the parents and we already have 300 people! It's tough to find places around here to accomodate that many people! So we will probably have to make a few cuts, but we want to avoid that as much as possible! I guess that's what happens when we both have pretty large families!
Any wedding advice??
I just made this book to help me organize my planning.

I have been waiting for you to post something!!! Congratulations KAtie! We are so excited for you!
If I can help you in any way, just let me know!!! I look forward to reading/seeing all that you plan!
Actually Kristine, we are thinking about doing all silk flowers, and I remember how great yours like in your wedding. Where did you buy them? Did you arrange them yourselves? We want to do all of that ourselves to save money, but we (as in mom and I) have been looking around for a silk flower superstore somewhere! Any suggestions??
Your book turned out so great! Are you gonna email me a picture so I can post it on my Family Crafts site? :-)
My sweet Katie..... I am here if you need me. I have no idea what to do for weddings for anything like that and I am sure that you and your Mom will be up to your necks on getting things done. But if you two need my help in anyway.... I am here for you... we love you
Oh grandma don't worry I'm sure we WILL need your help :)!! Thanks for offering!! I will definately call you on it!
Katie - we actually got our flowers from Michael's. It was spring/sunmmer time. Every sunday paper that came out - had a 40% off one item coupon- I kept buying bunches of flowers with them. I used that coupon every single week to buy something I needed. With all of the *tons* of weeks you have ahead of you, you can get a lot of things!
And yes, i arranged the flowers myself. The bouquets, the bouttenieres (sp?) the mother's corsages - all of it!
I would love to help you too, wish I was closer to be able to do so!
